HOW TO BACK UP YOUR FULL TEMPLATE

We make a lot of EDIT HTML to our templates following many tricks. If in case anything goes wrong we should have a back up copy of our template. This post deals with making a backup of your template. Most of you might have known this but this is for Beginners.

1. Log in and get to DESIGN tab and in turn get to EDIT HTML.
2. Now you can see Backup/Restore Template heading . There you can find DOWNLOAD FULL TEMPLATE option there .





3. Just click download and save a copy of your full template.

This comes to your rescue when you have messed up editing anything in your template. 


MAKE YOUR BLOG'S MOBILE VIEW BETTER

                                                           

As we know mobile phones internet speeds are limited and are usually less compared to a pc or a laptop.So, your blog takes a lot of time loading on mobile phones. As the no. of mobile users are increasing in huge amounts you need to make your blog load better and look better on mobile phones.

Here are some tips to make your blog better on mobiles:

1. Don't put a lot of content containing images or videos right on the homepage( try to avoid them at least on your home page)
2. Enable mobile view for your blog. This is how to do it

Get to SETTINGS and navigate to EMAIL and MOBILE option from there. You should enable mobile template view there.
3. See the preview present there on how your blog appears on mobiles and you yourself decide what to do.
4. Reduce the no. of posts on main page and try to keep summaries instead of entire posts on the home page .

Follow these tips and you can improve your blog's loading speed on mobile phones.


CHANGE YOUR BLOG'S ADDRESS

You can change your blog's address easily by following these steps.

1. Log in and get to SETTINGS tab.
2. Now get to publishing from the options.
3. In the box named  Blog*Spot Address type your new address and also the security code below it.
4. Save your changes.


NOTE:
Changing to a new address is also subject to availability of that address.
